Wellness yacht charter — Monaco and the Riviera

Chartered yachts with spa, sauna, hammam and gym facilities — designed for slower, quieter charters focused on rest, movement and considered eating. A wellness-led week aboard is one of the most restorative private-travel formats we arrange from Monaco.

In short

Most 45m+ superyachts built in the last decade include a dedicated wellness deck with sauna, treatment room and hydrotherapy pool. Our concierge shortlists specifically against your wellness brief rather than the yacht's general specification.

Why wellness aboard

A yacht is a naturally restorative environment when it is used as one. No transfers, no restaurants, no phones ringing in a lobby. Every meal is planned to a specific nutritional brief, every movement session happens on deck or in a proper on-board gym, and every evening ends with an unhurried dinner at anchor. The pace is set by the guests rather than the itinerary — most wellness weeks alternate two or three days of movement and structure with quieter days at anchor for reading, sleep and sea.

Yachts with dedicated wellness facilities

The larger yachts we recommend for wellness weeks (45m+) increasingly carry a dedicated wellness deck: a proper gym with cardio and free weights, a sauna and hammam, a treatment room for massage and facials, and, on the newest builds, a hydrotherapy pool or cold plunge. Yachts in the 55–70m range often have a beach club that doubles as a yoga deck, and a rear swim platform designed for open-water swimming and cold-immersion sessions.

Programmes and practitioners

Bespoke wellness programmes are built around the specific guests. A visiting personal trainer, yoga instructor, breathwork coach or nutrition-led chef can be brought aboard for the week — either a Monaco-based practitioner we know personally or the client's own coach with their travel arranged. Programmes we handle regularly include a 5-day yoga and breathwork intensive; a strength-and-mobility programme with two daily sessions; a nutrition-led reset with a chef working to a specific protocol; and a sleep-focused week with heart-rate-variability tracking and evening wind-down routines.

Nutrition and the chef

Wellness-led weeks stand or fall on the chef. We work with a small group of chefs who understand fasting-window meal planning, low-glycaemic menus, anti-inflammatory eating, and the practical realities of provisioning fresh produce daily along the Riviera. Menus are agreed with the client in advance and adapted through the week based on how the group is feeling. Wine service is reduced or paused entirely on request.

Itineraries suited to wellness

Wellness weeks favour quiet anchorages over busy ports. A typical itinerary from Monaco moves slowly along the French Riviera to the Îles de Lérins off Cannes, then across to the Îles d'Hyères and the Port-Cros national park. Longer weeks extend south to Corsica for the Lavezzi archipelago and the west-coast anchorages, where the water is exceptional and the coastline is genuinely wild. Portofino and the Cinque Terre also work for guests who prefer a slower Italian-side week.

Movement on and off the yacht

Every yacht suited to wellness carries a full set of water toys used as movement equipment rather than entertainment: paddleboards for morning sessions, sea-swimming with the tender following, snorkelling gear, and often a SeaBob or e-foil for guests who want a stronger cardio hit. Ashore, we arrange hikes on the Cap Ferrat coastal path, morning runs along the Croisette in Cannes, and tennis sessions at the Monte Carlo Country Club for guests who want to add a stronger training block.

Sleep and screen management

Wellness weeks work best when the digital rhythm is set intentionally. Cabins are configured for full blackout, Wi-Fi bandwidth can be capped or scheduled, and the crew is briefed to leave phones and tablets off the dinner table. On request, we arrange sleep-tracking devices and a debrief at the end of the week — clients regularly leave with materially better sleep metrics than they arrived with.

Season and planning

The finest wellness weeks are in late May, June, September and early October — settled water, warm air, no crowds in the anchorages, and the shoulder-season pricing that comes with them. A wellness brief typically confirms two to three months in advance so the practitioner and the chef can be booked into the same week.

Frequently asked questions

Which yachts have a proper spa and sauna?+

Most 45m+ superyachts built in the last decade include a dedicated wellness deck with sauna, treatment room and hydrotherapy pool. Our concierge shortlists specifically against your wellness brief rather than the yacht's general specification.

Can we bring our own yoga instructor or personal trainer?+

Yes — client-provided practitioners are common and their cabin, transfers and meals are handled by the yacht. Alternatively, we introduce Monaco-based practitioners we work with regularly.

How is the food handled on a wellness charter?+

The chef is briefed in advance to a specific nutritional protocol — fasting windows, macronutrient balance, allergens, alcohol level. Menus are agreed pre-boarding and adapted through the week based on how the group is feeling.

Can we do cold plunges or open-water swimming?+

Yes — either from the yacht's rear platform (with the tender following for open-water sessions) or, on the newest builds, in a purpose-built cold plunge on the wellness deck.
