Monaco yachts — superyachts and motor yachts moored at Port Hercule, Monaco

Monaco Yachts

Monaco Yachts for Charter

Monaco yachts for charter, curated from Port Hercule. Browse the motor yachts, superyachts and day yachts LYC Monaco most often arranges in Monaco — plus a private route to off-market yachts you will not find on any public listing.

Port Hercule holds more Monaco yachts, of more categories, than any other harbour on the Mediterranean's northern shore. On any given summer morning you can walk the quay past a fifteen-metre Riva, a mid-size Sunseeker fresh from a Cannes overnight and a full-displacement Feadship being provisioned for a Corsican crossing — every one of them a yacht in Monaco available, in some form, for private charter.

This page is a working directory of the yachts we most often place. The categories, sizes and examples below reflect the yachts Monaco actually delivers — not a generic brochure. Once you send a brief, our concierge overlays live availability from the central agents behind each yacht and returns a private shortlist tuned to your dates, guest count and itinerary.

Under maritime law, private charter yachts in the Mediterranean carry a maximum of twelve sleeping guests, whatever the length. What size buys you is space, staff and range — not more berths. Use this table to place your brief against the right band of yachts Monaco can arrange.

Day yachts

Yachts for Day Charters

For guests staying ashore in Monte-Carlo or Cap Ferrat, a day yacht in Monaco offers the coast without committing to a full week on board. Boarding is directly from Port Hercule or the quay in front of your hotel; return is usually before evening service.

Typical guest count

Six to twelve guests for the day. Above twelve, a second yacht or a certified passenger vessel is arranged in parallel.

Typical route

Cap-d'Ail → Villefranche → Paloma Beach → return. Longer days reach Cannes and the Îles de Lérins.

Typical rate

€8,000 – €25,000 per day. Fuel, food and beverages are usually billed at cost or on a pre-agreed package.

Weekly yachts

Yachts for Weekly and Multi-Day Charters

The heart of the Monaco yachts market. A weekly charter buys privacy, distance and a chef — the yacht becomes your hotel, your restaurant and your route. Most guests book five to ten nights on board, most yachts require a seven-night minimum during peak weeks.

The typical week

Board on Saturday afternoon in Port Hercule; a first-night dinner on the aft deck; Sunday sees Cap Ferrat and Villefranche. Through the week the yacht moves west to Saint-Tropez or east to Portofino and the Cinque Terre. Guests return to Monaco by Saturday morning.

Multi-day briefs

Not every Monaco yacht charter runs a full week. Three-night Grand Prix stays, weekend runs to Saint-Tropez and four-night Monaco Yacht Show weeks are all placeable, subject to the yacht's calendar. Ask directly.

Decision guide

How to Choose the Right Yacht

Choosing between the yachts at Monaco is not a search problem; it is a fit problem. Five variables cover most briefs.

01

Guest count and sleeping arrangement

Twelve is the hard ceiling for overnight guests. Below that, count couples, children and any friends who want their own cabin — this drives the minimum cabin count and often the length overall.

02

Duration and itinerary

A day out of Port Hercule needs a very different yacht from a week to Corsica. Range, fuel capacity and sea-keeping matter for longer passages; a shorter, sheltered brief opens the door to smaller, more agile yachts.

03

Style and pace

Some guests want a floating grand hotel — long lunches at anchor, a large crew, a formal chef. Others want the yacht as a launch pad for beach clubs, restaurants ashore and events. The right yacht Monaco can be either, but not both at once.

04

Water toys and tenders

For families and younger guests, tenders, seabobs, e-foils, jet skis and inflatables matter more than an extra cabin. For adult-only weeks, the calibre of the aft-deck bar and the chef's kitchen often does.

05

Budget — base fee and APA

A Monaco yacht is priced as a base fee plus 25–35% APA plus VAT. Setting a comfortable ceiling — not a target — lets the concierge return three options at the top of your range instead of a single stretch quote.

Off-market

Ask a Broker to Find an Off-Market Yacht

A meaningful share of the finest Monaco yachts — the yachts that never sit on a public search engine — are chartered through private relationships. Owners of these yachts prefer discretion to reach.

The private route

Give us the yacht's name, the builder, or simply the specification you have in mind. Our concierge approaches the yacht's management team directly, presents your brief under NDA and confirms whether a private charter can be arranged for your dates. Yacht Monaco owners increasingly release weeks selectively — the request has to be worthy.

Sourcing beyond Monaco

If the yacht you want is currently in Sardinia, the Balearics, Turkey or the Caribbean, we position it. Repositioning fees are quoted transparently against fuel, crew days and canal or port charges.

FAQ

Monaco Yachts: Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions on the yachts in Monaco available for private charter, and how to pick one.

How many Monaco yachts are available for charter?

At any point in the season several hundred yachts are marketed for charter from Monaco and the wider French Riviera. LYC Monaco maintains active relationships with the central agents behind roughly 400 of them, from 15-metre day yachts to 90-metre superyachts. The featured fleet on this page is a representative cross-section — the full shortlist for your dates is prepared privately.

What is the difference between motor yachts, superyachts and day yachts in Monaco?

In Monaco, day yachts are typically 12–20-metre motor boats certified for day cruising with up to 12 guests. Motor yachts run 20–40 metres with overnight accommodation for 8–12 guests. Superyachts start at roughly 24 metres and reach beyond 60 metres, with multiple decks, larger crews and space for tenders and toys. Every category can be booked as a yacht in Monaco through the same MYBA charter contract.

How many guests can a yacht in Monaco accommodate?

Under maritime law, private charter yachts in the Mediterranean carry a maximum of 12 sleeping guests. For day cruising, some yachts at Monaco are certified for up to 30 guests. If you require more sleeping berths, we arrange a second yacht cruising in company.

Can I inspect a Monaco yacht before booking?

Yes. When a yacht is in Port Hercule, Antibes or Golfe-Juan for the season, we arrange private inspections with the captain and chief stewardess. During the Monaco Yacht Show in September, many of the world's finest yachts sit alongside for viewing.

Are the yachts on this page always available in Monaco?

Availability changes weekly. The featured yachts on this page are those we most often place from Port Hercule — but every Monaco yacht charter is confirmed against live calendars by the yacht's central agent for your specific dates.

Can LYC Monaco source an off-market yacht?

Yes. A meaningful share of the finest yachts in Monaco are marketed quietly, through direct relationships rather than open listings. If a specific yacht — or a specific style — is not on the public market, we contact the yacht's management on your behalf to test availability.

What is the average size of a yacht chartered from Monaco?

The most-chartered Monaco yachts sit in the 30–45-metre range — large enough for a full crew, chef and water toys, small enough to enter the smaller Riviera ports. Weeks around the Grand Prix and Monaco Yacht Show skew larger, with 60m+ superyachts booked twelve months ahead.

Can I charter a sailing yacht in Monaco?

Yes. Although motor yachts dominate Port Hercule, sailing yachts and performance catamarans are available from Monaco and neighbouring French Riviera ports. Sailing yachts are best suited to guests who value quiet passages and lower running costs; the concierge shortlists both if you are open.
