Monaco yacht rental prices — how the market works
Monaco yacht rental prices are set by yacht size, rental length, the yacht owner's positioning in the market, and — critically — whether the dates overlap a Monaco event week. This page sets out the realistic price bands you should budget against, and explains what each price covers.
One caveat first: reputable yacht rental in Monaco is not a fixed-price catalogue product. Every yacht is a specific hull with a specific calendar, and rental prices vary week by week. What's below is a working guide — the specific quote comes from a Monaco-based advisor testing availability against your dates.

Day rental prices
Day rentals (typically 09:00–18:00) are quoted all-in, with a fair-usage fuel cap.
15–20m open dayboat. €3,000–€8,000 per day. Riva Aquariva, Wajer 55, Frauscher 858 Fantom. Skipper only or skipper + one crew.
20–24m motor yacht. €6,000–€12,000 per day. Sunseeker Manhattan, Azimut Atlantis. Skipper + crew of two.
24–30m motor yacht. €10,000–€18,000 per day. Full crew, chef on board.
30–35m motor yacht. €15,000–€25,000 per day.
35m+ motor yacht. €25,000+ per day, often quoted as a daily rate + fuel rather than all-in.
Weekend rental prices
Weekend rentals (2–3 nights, typically Friday afternoon to Sunday evening or Monday morning) are usually placed at 40–50% of the equivalent weekly rate.
25m motor yacht, 3 nights. €30,000–€60,000 all-in.
30m motor yacht, 3 nights. €55,000–€100,000 all-in.
40m superyacht, 3 nights. €100,000–€200,000 all-in.
Weekend rentals require yacht owner approval — not every yacht in the fleet accepts short-form rentals. Availability is best outside July and August.
Weekly rental prices
Weekly rentals are placed under the MYBA charter agreement. Base fee, APA, VAT and crew gratuity are billed separately.
Base fee by size (per week, high season). 25m: €80,000–€140,000. 30m: €140,000–€250,000. 35m: €250,000–€400,000. 40m: €200,000–€400,000. 50m: €400,000–€700,000. 60m: €700,000–€1,100,000. 70m: €1,100,000–€1,500,000. 80m+: €1,500,000–€3,500,000+.
APA. ~30% of base fee, covers fuel, provisions, berthing, communications. Reconciled at end of charter.
VAT. ~20% in EU waters, reducible per itinerary.
Crew gratuity. 5–15% of base fee, at guest discretion, paid to crew at end of charter.
Event week premiums
The three peak weeks in the Monaco calendar carry material premiums over standard rates.
Monaco Grand Prix (late May). +50–100% on the base fee. Berth supplements at Port Hercule add €10,000–€100,000+ depending on position. 9–12 months lead time.
Cannes Film Festival (mid-May). +30–60% on the base fee for Cannes-berthed yachts and for Monaco-based yachts positioning to Cannes for the festival. 6–9 months lead time.
Monaco Yacht Show (late September). +30–50% on the base fee. Berth premiums similar to GP. 6–9 months lead time.

What's the cheapest yacht rental price in Monaco?+
Half-day rentals on a 15–18m open dayboat (Riva, Wajer, Frauscher) start around €3,000–€5,000 all-in in high season. Full-day rentals on the same yachts run €4,000–€8,000. Weekly rentals on a 20–25m motor yacht start around €40,000–€80,000 base fee plus APA.
Are Monaco yacht rental prices per day or per week?+
Both. Sub-24m yachts are commonly priced per day (all-in) or per half-day. From 24m upward the industry standard is a weekly price under the MYBA charter agreement, with day and weekend rentals available on selected yachts at pro-rata pricing.
What's included in a Monaco yacht rental price?+
The yacht, the crew (captain on all yachts, plus additional crew scaled to size), fuel to a fair-usage day cap on all-in day rentals. For weekly rentals under MYBA, the base fee covers yacht and crew; fuel, food, berthing and comms are billed through APA (~30% of base fee).
Do Monaco yacht rental prices include VAT?+
Prices quoted are typically ex-VAT. In EU waters, VAT is charged on the base fee — typically 20%, reducible under the French Commercial Exemption or Italian coastal reduction where the itinerary qualifies. LYC Monaco structures every charter to make lawful use of any reduction the itinerary allows.
How much does a superyacht rental in Monaco cost?+

Why do event weeks cost 30–100% more?+
Berth demand at Port Hercule spikes during Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Yacht Show. Owners can charge premium pricing; berth supplements set by the port authority also apply. If you want event-week yacht rental at standard pricing, it's not available — plan around the premium or move dates.
