Why the E-Prix from a yacht
Formula E runs a modified version of the Circuit de Monaco that still traces the harbour front, which means the yachts moored inside Port Hercule remain the most privileged grandstand in the city. The E-Prix draws a different crowd — technology, automotive and sustainability-focused — and a noticeably calmer harbour. For clients who want the Monaco race-week experience without the compressed intensity of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the E-Prix is the intelligent alternative.
How E-Prix week differs from the Grand Prix
Three practical differences shape the charter. First, the event runs a single race day rather than a full Thursday-to-Sunday programme, so many clients board Friday evening and disembark Sunday morning. Second, berth demand is materially lighter, which means better viewing angles are available on shorter notice and event-week premiums are lower — typically twenty to forty percent above regular season, versus the multiples applied for the Grand Prix. Third, the guest programme skews toward daytime hosting on deck rather than late nights ashore.
Berthing and viewing
The circuit layout used for the E-Prix retains the harbour-front section of the Grand Prix track, so berths along the T-Jetty and the quays overlooking the Nouvelle Chicane still deliver a clear view of the cars. We advise on the specific berth-and-yacht combination that fits the guest count, the hosting format and the arrival plan. As with the Grand Prix, berthing is confirmed separately from the yacht itself.
Planning horizon
The Monaco E-Prix runs biennially in Formula E's calendar; confirm the year before you plan. Serious enquiries typically begin six to nine months in advance — a tighter window than the Grand Prix, reflecting the calmer demand. Late enquiries are more often accommodated than during F1 week, though the strongest yacht-and-berth combinations still confirm early.
What sits inside an E-Prix charter
The yacht, its crew, standard water toys, and the Port Hercule mooring for the event. Around that, your concierge arranges transfers from Nice, provisioning to a specific brief, chef-led hosting on deck through the race day, and any private meetings or brand hosting formats appropriate to the E-Prix audience. Race passes, e-Village access and hospitality invitations are separate from the charter and arranged through the appropriate providers.
For clients hosting a brand or business
The E-Prix has become a natural fixture for automotive, technology and clean-energy brands hosting clients in Monaco. A chartered yacht offers a private venue for morning meetings, race-day hosting on deck, and evening dinners aboard — all inside the harbour, minutes from the track and the Principality's meeting venues. We handle these formats regularly and can shape the yacht, the provisioning and the programme accordingly.
Discretion
Every element of an E-Prix charter is arranged privately. Guest lists, movements and hosting details are not shared or photographed. The same standard we apply to Grand Prix week applies here.
