APA: a 25–35% Advance Provisioning Allowance covers fuel, provisioning, dockage and communications, settled against actuals.
VAT: French waters attract a 20% VAT rate (reducible with a qualifying itinerary); Italian waters are similar. LYC Monaco confirms the applicable treatment before signature.
Crew gratuity: customary at 5–15% of the base fee, settled at disembarkation.
Event weeks
Two weeks a year make Monaco the centre of the yachting world. For a luxury yacht charter Monaco during either, the brief begins nine to twelve months ahead — sometimes earlier for the largest yachts with prime berths on the circuit.

For summer weeks on a specific yacht, plan four to six months ahead. For Grand Prix and Yacht Show weeks, plan nine to twelve months ahead. Day charters and last-minute weeks can occasionally be arranged inside a fortnight, subject to availability and berth confirmation.
'Superyacht' generally refers to yachts over 24 metres. A luxury yacht charter Monaco may sit anywhere from a 23-metre Wajer day boat to a 90-metre Oceanco superyacht.
